Women’s Ministry

The heart of Women’s Ministry at RMBC is to encourage women in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and equip them for their ministry in their homes, churches, and communities in order to magnify God’s name. It is our heart to engage the women entrusted to us through Bible-based opportunities for spiritual growth, discipleship, fellowship, and service

Men’s Ministry

Ragland has a very active men’s ministry. Through Biblical teaching, men can learn to enrich their own lives as well as their families through God’s Word. We pray for one another and have a great time of fellowship through the monthly Men’s Fellowship Luncheons, attending Bible Conferences, weekly Bible study, and various fun activities throughout the year.

Young Adult Ministries (Y.A.M.)

Y.A.M. provides Bible study, Christian fellowship, and support for young, single adults aged 18 to 24, who are transitioning from high school to the workforce as well as college students. This ministry fills a critical void for an age group that tends to drift away from the church while they are beginning careers or are away at college.

AWANAs is an international children’s ministry that teaches Christian discipleship and leadership while providing lots of fun for all children.  Ragland’s AWANA program currently serves students from the ages of 2 to 6th grade.

You shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” ~Acts 1:8

At Ragland, we are intentional about sharing the love of Christ and seeing people of all backgrounds come to understand the saving grace of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Ragland members have participated in serving in the Goochland area (Our Jerusalem), Southwest Virginia (Our Samaria), Nicaragua and Moldova (the world).

Ragland also partners with the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia, the International Mission Board, Frontier Missions, and other organizations that train and send others to the ends of the earth to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.

Small Groups

Small Groups at Ragland have become an essential and important ministry. Small groups provide a more intimate and private outlet to fellowship with others that share similar life experiences and challenges in life. Small groups pray together, enjoy and learn God’s Word together, serve, and enjoy a closer fellowship.  These groups typically meet a couple of times a month during the standard school year.

Group sizes range anywhere from 5 to 20 people.
